在昨天之前，如果有人提到coldplay，或者酷玩，我會問他那是啥。真沒想到一夜之間我竟然變成他們的歌迷，在安靜且難得涼爽的颱風夜，坐在迴盪著音樂的房間裡，那音樂的張力讓我在瞬間渾身跳起了雞皮疙瘩。

年輕的時候只聽古典，別說西洋音樂了，根本連流行音樂都很少聽。這幾年觸角越來越廣，從台灣又延伸至日韓西洋。沒有什麼流行音樂的知識對我有好也有壞，好的是我既不了解樂壇裡的資訊和歷史，對音樂的掌握完全依賴自己的耳朵，大眾的口味也好，專業的樂評也好，我幾乎不受任何其他主客觀意見的影響，只在乎自己的感覺。壞的是當我偶然聽到一首歌，常常連歌名或歌手都不知道，然後就得背下一段歌詞，到音樂版上去請教音樂魔人。透過這種方式發現的好歌手包括森山直太朗，威爾史密斯，化學超男子等等，不過最讓我驚豔的就是coldplay，在廣播中聽到他們的歌square one，真的超讚的～也幸好歌詞唱得清楚，相當好辨認，不像之前威爾的rap，聽得我耳朵都痛了，才記下三句。不過，要知道在音樂版上問像coldplay這麼紅的樂團的歌可是相當丟臉的事，從頭到腳就是一副菜鳥的樣子～

今天迫不急待地買了coldplay的X&Y，幾乎每一首的詞曲都在水準以上，歌曲的意境帶著濃濃的年輕與夢想，以及對人生的質疑和執著。讓人既想在舞台下隨著人群對主唱尖叫歡呼，也適合在一個人的夜裡，檢視自我，懷想歲月，或者，什麼都不想，就隨著音樂歡然搖擺。
